Safety is Priority #1
At Vac2Go, safety isn't just a policy — it's a core value. Every piece of equipment, every operator, and every job site reflects our unwavering commitment to safe operations.
Essential Safety Guidelines
Follow these best practices to ensure safe and effective vacuum truck operations on every job site.
Know Your Equipment
Before operating any vacuum truck, familiarize yourself with all controls, safety features, emergency shutoffs, and the operator's manual. Never operate equipment you haven't been trained on.
Pre-Operation Inspection
Conduct a thorough walk-around inspection before every shift. Check fluid levels, tire condition, hose integrity, safety guards, lights, and all vacuum system components.
Proper PPE
Always wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) including hard hat, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, high-visibility vest, hearing protection, and gloves appropriate for the material being handled.
Ground Conditions
Assess ground conditions before positioning equipment. Ensure the surface can support the vehicle's weight, check for overhead clearances, and be aware of underground utilities.
Safe Hose Handling
Never point suction hoses at people. Secure all hose connections before operation. Use proper lifting techniques when handling heavy hoses and accessories.
Material Awareness
Know what material is being vacuumed. Identify any hazardous materials, check SDS sheets, and ensure the equipment is rated for the specific application.
Communication
Maintain clear communication with all crew members. Use a spotter when backing up. Establish hand signals and radio protocols before starting work.
Pressure Safety
Never exceed rated pressure limits. Monitor gauges during operation. Release all pressure before opening tanks, disconnecting hoses, or performing maintenance.
Emergency Preparedness
Know the location of all emergency shutoffs, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits. Have an emergency action plan in place and ensure all crew members are trained on emergency procedures.
